Twentysix is a perfect retreat for couples although the cabin sleeps up to five guests. The timber frame building is a modernist classic and has recently been completely refurbished under the guidance of an award winning architect. It combines modernity, quiet design and a comfortable seaside feel.
You enter Twentysix from a private garden with a lake view into an open plan living space with a fully fitted kitchen at one end and an airy seating area at the other, complete with a wood burning stove. The main bedroom has a double size bed. The smaller bed room is fitted out with bunk beds, the lower being double size.
Twentysix is an 'Anderby Chalet' which was launched by Vic Hallam in 1959. Vic Hallam Ltd. specialised in timber frame buildings and the company built over 200 of these chalets in Anderby, Devon, Cornwall and Germany. The building was refurbished to the highest possible standards of design and energy efficiency making it fit for the next 50 years.
